What to know before using Text to Speech
Speech synthesis uses the browser native Web Speech API (speechSynthesis). Available voices depend on your browser and operating system; some voices use a remote speech service and require a network connection. Controls include play, pause, resume, stop, speed adjustment from 0.5x to 2.0x, pitch modulation, voice filtering by language, and selection-only reading mode. Ramupod does not operate a speech synthesis server; the selected browser voice determines whether synthesis is local or remote.
