11 visible characters including the space, and 2 words. Emoji and combining marks can differ from JavaScript string length.

What to know before using Character Counter

Paste or type text to see counts update instantly. Characters are counted as visible Unicode grapheme clusters, so a combined emoji or accented letter counts as one. Whitespace includes spaces, tabs, and line breaks. Word boundaries use English Unicode segmentation, which also recognizes many non-Latin scripts. UTF-8 bytes and UTF-16 code units help software engineers inspect payload sizes and JavaScript string length. Use it as a learning tool to compare how text is represented. All processing happens in your browser.
